Back to business - Maureen's comeback in Cork
Maureen has run a small grocery stall for three years; floodwater destroyed the equipment, and $1,850 will put it back on its feet.

For three years I have run a small grocery stall in Cork. In June, floodwater took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,850 goes:
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $580
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $1,050
• Shop repairs and licensing: $220
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

any update on how things are going in Cork?
You're not alone, Maureen. Your post was clear and honest. I'll check back for the next update. God bless
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Maureen?
rooting for you, Maureen. This could happen to any of us. I have a 6 year old who wants to send good wishes too
I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. After 22 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Cork
