Back to business - Matthias's comeback in Berlin
Matthias has run a roadside café for six years; a long illness and repossession destroyed the equipment, and $3,550 will put it back on its feet.

For six years I have run a roadside café in Berlin. In September, a long illness and repossession took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $3,550 goes:
• Replacing an espresso machine and grinder: $2,750
• Working capital for the first month: $630
• Shop repairs and licensing: $170
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Matthias.
It's all in the list in the story. replacing an espresso machine and grinder is the big one at $2,750, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. It helps to be asked.
Sending love, Matthias. This could happen to any of us.
