Back to business - María's comeback in San Diego
María lost a freezer and scales to a fire in the building and needs $3,300 to reopen a fish stall and support the family.

For six years I have run a fish stall in San Diego. In May, a fire in the building took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $3,300 goes:
• Replacing a freezer and scales: $1,400
• Initial stock: the first catch: $770
• Shop repairs and licensing: $590
• Working capital for the first month: $540
Thank you for reading my story.
