Back to business - Lucas's comeback in Gothenburg
Lucas lost a freezer and scales to a long illness and repossession and needs $1,200 to reopen a fish stall and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a fish stall in Gothenburg. In May, a long illness and repossession took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $350
• Working capital for the first month: $350
• Initial stock: the first catch: $500
Glad we found this place.

Wishing you the best. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Karachi.
Sending strength, Lucas. Hope the shop reopens soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Gothenburg
Thank you. If you're in Gothenburg I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Ask me anything else.
hang in there. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Gothenburg.
Keep going, Lucas. Small businesses are the heart of Gothenburg. Hope you're open again soon. Love from Kathmandu.
