Back to business - Long's comeback in San Diego
A tailoring shop in San Diego needs help replacing three industrial sewing machines after a break-in.

For nine years I have run a tailoring shop in San Diego. In July, a break-in took three industrial sewing machines. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $3,200 goes:
• Replacing three industrial sewing machines: $1,050
• Initial stock: fabric and thread: $860
• Shop repairs and licensing: $550
• Working capital for the first month: $740
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Thinking of you and your family. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of San Diego
Hang in there, Long. Looking forward to the next update. God bless.
keep going. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Hawassa.
Sending strength. Hope the shop reopens soon. My husband and I read this together. Love from Manila
You're not alone, Long. I hope things turn around soon!
