Back to business - Jose's comeback in Mandaue
Jose lost a commercial oven to a long illness and repossession and needs $700 to reopen a neighborhood bakery and support the family.

For three years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Mandaue. In July, a long illness and repossession took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $700 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $400
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $85
• Shop repairs and licensing: $85
• Working capital for the first month: $130
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

So sorry you're going through this, Jose. Small businesses are the heart of Mandaue. Hope you're open again soon. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Mandaue.
This could happen to any of us. After 17 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Mandaue.
Thanks for sharing this, Jose. Your post was clear and honest. My neighbor in Savannah donated after I showed her your page. Blessings.
Hope it all works out. Hope you make a strong comeback. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Mandaue.
