Caloocan
For twelve years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Caloocan. In April, a storm that collapsed the roof took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $700 goes: • Replacing a commercial oven: $410 • Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $155 • Shop repairs and licensing: $55 • Working capital for the first month: $80 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Isabel

Updates from Isabel

  1. Quick update: $100 raised so far (14%). I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. 12% there. I made the first payment toward initial stock: flour, butter and sugar. Thank you.

  3. Update from Caloocan: the plan for initial stock: flour, butter and sugar is now scheduled. We're at 5% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
