Back to business - Inés's comeback in Tijuana
Inés lost a cutting table and overlocker to floodwater and needs $1,200 to reopen a sewing studio and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a sewing studio in Tijuana. In May, floodwater took a cutting table and overlocker. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Replacing a cutting table and overlocker: $560
• Initial stock: fabric: $300
• Shop repairs and licensing: $165
• Working capital for the first month: $175
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Thinking of you and your family, Inés. Hope you get there.
Thinking of you and your family, Inés. Hope you get there. After 29 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Tijuana.
Praying for you. I hope things turn around soon. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
