Back to business - Hellen's comeback in Kakamega
Hellen has run a fish stall for six years; floodwater destroyed the equipment, and $500 will put it back on its feet.

For six years I have run a fish stall in Kakamega. In July, floodwater took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $500 goes:
• Replacing a freezer and scales: $220
• Initial stock: the first catch: $90
• Shop repairs and licensing: $55
• Working capital for the first month: $135
Thanks for being kind about this.

Sending strength, Hellen. I hope things turn around soon. We're a small family in Los Angeles but we're thinking of you. God bless.
