Back to business - Hailey's comeback in San Antonio
A fish stall in San Antonio needs help replacing a freezer and scales after a fire in the building.

For six years I have run a fish stall in San Antonio. In July, a fire in the building took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Replacing a freezer and scales: $1,200
• Initial stock: the first catch: $620
• Shop repairs and licensing: $290
• Working capital for the first month: $240
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
Updates from Hailey
Good news. Because of your gifts ($665 in total) I made the first payment toward working capital for the first month. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

hang in there, Hailey. This could happen to any of us. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Warsaw.
So sorry you're going through this, Hailey. Your post was clear and honest. My husband and I read this together.
sending good thoughts, Hailey. I hope things turn around soon. All the best.
