Back to business - Fernando's comeback in Medellín
Fernando lost three industrial sewing machines to a break-in and needs $1,100 to reopen a tailoring shop and support the family.

For six years I have run a tailoring shop in Medellín. In April, a break-in took three industrial sewing machines. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Replacing three industrial sewing machines: $690
• Initial stock: fabric and thread: $100
• Shop repairs and licensing: $110
• Working capital for the first month: $200
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Thinking of you. Shared this with my family. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care.
Wishing you peace, Fernando. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 29 people at work. Thinking of Medellín
sending good thoughts, Fernando. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did
