Back to business - Elena's comeback in Quezon City
Elena lost two washing machines and a dryer to a storm that collapsed the roof and needs $450 to reopen a laundry service and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a laundry service in Quezon City. In August, a storm that collapsed the roof took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $450 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $95
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $170
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $185
If you're reading this, thank you.
