Back to business - Elena's comeback in Buenos Aires
Elena lost an espresso machine and grinder to the demolition of the market and needs $1,250 to reopen a roadside café and support the family.

For six years I have run a roadside café in Buenos Aires. In January, the demolition of the market took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Replacing an espresso machine and grinder: $780
• Initial stock: coffee and pastries: $170
• Shop repairs and licensing: $150
• Working capital for the first month: $150
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Hope things get better soon. Shared this with my family. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless.
Thinking of you, Elena. Hope you make a strong comeback. My neighbor in Dortmund donated after I showed her your page. All the best.
Hang in there, Elena. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Jakarta.
