Swansea
For three years I have run a barbershop in Swansea. In June, a storm that collapsed the roof took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $3,650 goes: • Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $2,000 • Initial stock: supplies: $700 • Shop repairs and licensing: $460 • Working capital for the first month: $490 With deep gratitude, Easton

  • Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 29 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything!

    • Sending love, Easton. Your post was clear and honest. I went through something like this 8 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.

      • sending strength, Easton. Your post was clear and honest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it

        • Thinking of you and your family, Easton. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless
