Back to business - Dian's comeback in Jakarta Barat
A bicycle repair shop in Jakarta Barat needs help replacing a full set of tools after a break-in.
Anywhere in the world919 views
For four years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Jakarta Barat. In August, a break-in took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $550 goes:
• Replacing a full set of tools: $340
• Initial stock: spare parts: $65
• Shop repairs and licensing: $40
• Working capital for the first month: $105

Thinking of you and your family, Dian. Hope the shop reopens soon. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
