Back to business - Delilah's comeback in Lafayette
Delilah lost a freezer and scales to floodwater and needs $2,750 to reopen a fish stall and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a fish stall in Lafayette. In June, floodwater took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Replacing a freezer and scales: $1,350
• Initial stock: the first catch: $640
• Shop repairs and licensing: $500
• Working capital for the first month: $260
Glad we found this place.
