Back to business - Brielle's comeback in Newcastle
Brielle has run a roadside café for fifteen years; a break-in destroyed the equipment, and $2,400 will put it back on its feet.

For fifteen years I have run a roadside café in Newcastle. In August, a break-in took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $2,400 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $700
• Shop repairs and licensing: $620
• Replacing an espresso machine and grinder: $1,080
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thinking of you, Brielle. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in hospitality myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
Stay strong. Small businesses are the heart of Newcastle. Hope you're open again soon. My husband and I read this together. Greetings from Montpellier.
