Back to business - Bola's comeback in Ikeja
A laundry service in Ikeja needs help replacing two washing machines and a dryer after floodwater.
🇳🇬 Nigeria1,086 views
For fifteen years I have run a laundry service in Ikeja. In August, floodwater took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $300 goes:
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $135
• Shop repairs and licensing: $85
• Working capital for the first month: $80
Thanks for being kind about this.

Best of luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Istanbul.
Wishing you the best, Bola. Shared this with my family. We're a small family in Campinas but we're thinking of you.
Thanks for sharing this, Bola. Hope this works out for you. Sent it to 20 people at work. Thinking of Ikeja.
