Back to business - Barry's comeback in Kilkenny

Barry has run a bicycle repair shop for nine years; a break-in destroyed the equipment, and $2,300 will put it back on its feet.

For nine years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Kilkenny. In August, a break-in took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $2,300 goes: • Replacing a full set of tools: $1,200 • Working capital for the first month: $720 • Shop repairs and licensing: $380 Thank you for reading my story.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Barry.

Replacing a full set of tools is $1,200 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks for asking.
