Back to business - Aparecida's comeback in Caruaru
Aparecida has run a neighborhood bakery for fifteen years; a long illness and repossession destroyed the equipment, and $1,050 will put it back on its feet.

For fifteen years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Caruaru. In July, a long illness and repossession took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $550
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $90
• Shop repairs and licensing: $210
• Working capital for the first month: $200
Thanks for being kind about this.
Updates from Aparecida
Quick update: $175 raised so far (17%). I made the first payment toward working capital for the first month. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

sending love. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Caruaru.
