Buffalo
For six years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Buffalo. In July, the demolition of the market took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $3,200 goes: • Replacing a commercial oven: $1,200 • Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $840 • Shop repairs and licensing: $760 • Working capital for the first month: $400 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Updates from Adrián

  1. Small update. $737 so far, I made the first payment toward working capital for the first month.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($440 in total) I made the first payment toward initial stock: flour, butter and sugar. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Adrián

  3. Thank you all. We're at 12% now ($380). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward shop repairs and licensing.
