Back to business - Aaliyah's comeback in Ann Arbor
Aaliyah has run a street-food cart for twelve years; a fire in the building destroyed the equipment, and $2,200 will put it back on its feet.

For twelve years I have run a street-food cart in Ann Arbor. In March, a fire in the building took a gas stove and two refrigerators. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Initial stock: ingredients: $430
• Working capital for the first month: $470
• Replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators: $1,300
Thanks for reading all this.

Thinking of you, Aaliyah. Hope you get there. We're a small family in Berlin but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Berlin.
rooting for you, Aaliyah. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best
You're not alone, Aaliyah. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier
