Back on our feet: Tania and a teenage son and a daughter in primary school in Mumbai
Tania and a teenage son and a daughter in primary school need a bridge to stability after my partner leaving.
🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India366 views
Since my partner leaving in September, I'm now raising a teenage son and a daughter in primary school on my own. I work as a school kitchen assistant, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a bookkeeper in the evenings, which will triple my income by November, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Every cent is accounted for. I'll share a simple monthly breakdown.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rent top-up: $180
• Childcare and after-school care: $100
• Groceries and school meals: $130
• Course fees and exam costs: $90
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Stay strong. Hope this works out for you. My husband and I read this together. Love from Naivasha.
You're not alone, Tania. Shared this with my family. I have a 17 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Mumbai.
Hope it all works out, Tania. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together
Sending good thoughts, Tania. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Glendale.
