Back on our feet: Patrick and twin daughters in Cape Coast
Patrick and twin daughters need a bridge to stability after a house fire.
🇬🇭 Cape Coast, Central, Ghana1,684 views
Last December I went through a house fire, and I'm now raising twin daughters on my own. I work as a hairdresser, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as an electrician in the evenings, which will triple my income by April, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Every cent is accounted for. I'll share a simple monthly breakdown.
Where the $450 goes:
• Groceries and school meals: $110
• Childcare and after-school care: $230
• Course fees and exam costs: $110
With deep gratitude,
Patrick

This could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from São Paulo
Wishing you peace, Patrick. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. All the best.
Sending good thoughts. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I have a 13 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Jakarta Selatan
Keep going, Patrick. This could happen to any of us
