Back on our feet: Mercy and two young children in Eldoret
Mercy and two young children need a bridge to stability after the death of my husband.

Since the death of my husband in August, I'm now raising two young children on my own. I work as a part-time receptionist, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a pharmacy technician in the evenings, which will triple my income by November, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Every cent is accounted for. I'll share a simple monthly breakdown.
Where the $900 goes:
• Rent top-up: $430
• Childcare and after-school care: $165
• Groceries and school meals: $160
• Course fees and exam costs: $145
Thanks for reading all this.

Thanks for sharing this. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Eldoret.
Sending love. This could happen to any of us. Love from Mumbai.
hope this works out for you. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Heliopolis!
Thanks for sharing this. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I hope November is when things finally get easier.
I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Please keep us posted. Blessings.
