After the death of my husband, Laiba is raising a teenage son and a daughter in primary school alone and needs $350 to stay afloat for 3 months.

After the death of my husband in September, I'm now raising a teenage son and a daughter in primary school on my own. I work as a care worker, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a teaching assistant in the evenings, which will triple my income by November, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Every cent is accounted for. I'll share a simple monthly breakdown.
Where the $350 goes:
• Groceries and school meals: $140
• Course fees and exam costs: $95
• Childcare and after-school care: $115
Thank you for reading my story.

thinking of you. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Don't give up.
Hang in there, Laiba. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Keep going, Laiba. Shared this with my family. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Greetings from Ciudad de México.
keep going, Laiba. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Rawalpindi.
