Babatunde's laparoscopic endometriosis surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After a deviated septum causing chronic infections, Babatunde was cleared for laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Babatunde was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in June. The surgeon at Bonny General Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and He is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,400, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,100 short.
my son has been in and out of Bonny General Hospital since June. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,400 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Babatunde struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Babatunde won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $580
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $320
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $70
• Post-operative medication: $35
• Physiotherapy sessions: $50
• Travel and lodging for the family: $45
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Shared it with a few friends. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Bonny.
Rooting for you, Abosede. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Campinas
sending strength, Abosede. Hope the doctors have good news. Take care.
so sorry you're going through this. Your post was clear and honest. After 9 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Rooting for you, Abosede. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out.
