Autumn's my school-run minibus is Autumn's only source of income and needs a transmission replacement costing $1,400.

I make my living with my school-run minibus. 4 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $900
• Towing and inspection: $145
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $355
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

You're not alone, Autumn. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Sending love. Hope you make a strong comeback. It's not much but it's yours
Hope things get better soon. Hope the shop reopens soon. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best.
Small businesses are the heart of Los Angeles. Hope you're open again soon. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Los Angeles
Hope you make a strong comeback. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Take care.
Thinking of you and your family. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Los Angeles
