Aubree was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in September. The surgeon at Saint Mary Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,900, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,500 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Saint Mary Hospital since September. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,900 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Aubree struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Aubree won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
