I served twelve years in the marines and was discharged in 2024 with a back injury. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $850.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $850 goes:
• Transport to appointments: $70
• Training provider fees: $400
• Housing deposit and first month: $380
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

keep going, Atim. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Lucknow.
