Atieno needs my tuk-tuk repaired to get back to work in Dar es Salaam
Atieno drives for a living in Dar es Salaam, and a broken fuel pump has stopped all income for 6 weeks.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 6 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $150. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $150 goes:
• fuel pump replacement (parts): $60
• Labor charges: $25
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $35
• Towing and inspection: $30
I hope life is good to you.

Good luck, Atieno. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Lapu-Lapu.
hang in there. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Medina.
Hang in there, Atieno. Hope this works out for you. Please keep us posted.
Praying for you, Atieno. Your post was clear and honest. Take care
Sending strength, Atieno. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Dar es Salaam
