Asylum application: Francesco needs $3,250 before the deadline
Francesco needs $3,250 for filing fees and representation in an asylum application before the July deadline.
🇮🇹 Latina, Lazio, Italy2,046 views
Francesco is facing an asylum application. The hearing is scheduled for July, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $3,250. Three legal-aid offices have said their waiting lists are longer than the deadline.
Francesco has all the paperwork ready, and a caseworker at a local immigrant rights clinic has confirmed that the case is valid.
If the deadline is missed Francesco could lose the right to stay with the family and the job. The children were born here and this is the only home they know.
Funds cover only the filing fees, translations and attorney retainer.
Where the $3,250 goes:
• Attorney retainer: $2,400
• Filing and biometrics fees: $510
• Certified translations and document copies: $210
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $130
Thanks for being kind about this.

Rooting for you. Shared it with a few friends. Put this on a community board in Mumbai this morning. Blessings
Sending love, Rosa. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless.
