Aswan flash flood relief - Hillcrest village
After the flash flood, families in Hillcrest village need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The flash flood hit Hillcrest village on 22 July. My home was one of 51 damaged, and 12 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $550 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $260
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $180
• Food parcels for displaced families: $110

you're not alone, Nadia. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Blessings
shared it with a few friends. My neighbor in Jakarta donated after I showed her your page.
stay strong, Nadia. I hope things turn around soon. Take care.
Sending good thoughts, Nadia. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
Keep going, Nadia. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless!
