I live with an amputation below the knee. My occupational therapist at the Islamabad Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $850. My current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $850 goes: • specialist standing frame: $760 • Delivery and set-up: $25 • Fitting and training sessions: $65 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
