I live with profound hearing loss. My occupational therapist at the Faisalabad Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $400.
My current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.

• First-year servicing plan: $45
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $350
• Delivery and set-up: $5
