Armando was diagnosed with colon cancer in August. The oncology team at San Francisco Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Armando is 47, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Francisco Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $3,800 goes: • Transport to San Francisco Cancer Centre: $410 • Scans and lab work: $1,700 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,300 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $390 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
