Archie's severe tick fever: help with the vet bill
Archie, Josiah's dog, needs urgent treatment for severe tick fever costing $2,550.

Archie is my dog of thirteen years. On 18 January we rushed to Fort Collins Veterinary Centre with severe tick fever. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $2,550.
They have stabilized Archie, but the treatment can't wait beyond May.
Archie is more than a pet - Archie is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $210 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Fort Collins Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Archie's recovery.
Where the $2,550 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,750
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $330
• Medication and follow-up visits: $220
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $250
