Archie's bloat: help with the vet bill
A rescue greyhound named Archie needs an operation to remove the blockage - a $3,000 bill the family can't cover.

Archie is my rescue greyhound of six years. On 20 December we rushed to Oakland Animal Hospital with bloat. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $3,000.
They have stabilized Archie, but the treatment can't wait beyond March.
Archie is more than a pet - Archie is the reason I get out of bed. I have already put $190 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Oakland Animal Hospital and I'll share the invoice and an update on Archie's recovery.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,800
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $680
• Medication and follow-up visits: $240
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $280
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Wishing you peace, Mercedes. We've got a rescue too so I know how much they mean. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
