Aravind's school year: uniform, books and a laptop
Aravind won a place at Mumbai Girls' High School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in the first year of senior school at Mumbai Girls' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the coding course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $150, which is more than we have.
I love coding and want to become a marine biologist. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $150 goes:
• Laptop: $70
• School uniform and shoes: $30
• Textbooks and workbooks: $30
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $20
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

You're not alone, Aravind. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like!
