Aravind needs a cutting table and overlocker to reopen a sewing studio
Aravind lost a cutting table and overlocker to a long illness and repossession and needs $400 to reopen a sewing studio and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a sewing studio in Bhopal. In July, a long illness and repossession took a cutting table and overlocker. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $400 goes:
• Replacing a cutting table and overlocker: $130
• Initial stock: fabric: $70
• Shop repairs and licensing: $65
• Working capital for the first month: $135
Thank you so much.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Aravind.
Sure. The biggest one is replacing a cutting table and overlocker, $130. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one.
Good luck. Hope you get there. Greetings from Kaduna.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I have a 9 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care.
Hope this works out for you. Don't give up. Greetings from Ottawa
Thinking of you, Aravind. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up.
Good luck, Aravind. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best
