Apurva's non-Hodgkin lymphoma treatment fund
Apurva is facing non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇮🇳 India563 views
Apurva was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in August. The oncology team at Siliguri Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Apurva is 57, worked as a construction supervisor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Siliguri Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $850 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $60
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $560
• Household costs while unable to work: $230
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Apurva
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team comes first ($60) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Happy to explain more.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Siliguri.
Thinking of you and your family, Kirit. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Greetings from Istanbul!
wishing you peace, Kirit. Wishing Apurva a smooth procedure and a full recovery.
