Apio needs a prosthetic leg - help us make it happen
Apio needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $700.

I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at the Zanzibar City Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $700.
My current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment I could speak with the people around her. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $700 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $600
• First-year servicing plan: $45
• Fitting and training sessions: $55
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Updates from Apio
Thank you all. We're at 21% now ($150). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward first-year servicing plan.
