Antonios needs a powered wheelchair - help us make it happen
Antonios needs a powered wheelchair that the health system won't fund; the cost is $2,450.
🇬🇷 Athens, Attica, Greece4,518 views
I live with cerebral palsy. My occupational therapist at the Athens Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,450.
My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• powered wheelchair: $2,300
• First-year servicing plan: $75
• Delivery and set-up: $75
Glad we found this place.

Stay strong. Hope the doctors have good news. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Springfield.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
Hope things get better soon, Antonios. I hope things turn around soon. Put this on a community board in Mandaue this morning. God bless.
