Antonio was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in May. The surgeon at Guadalajara Regional Medical Center recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,600, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,200 short. my father has been in and out of Guadalajara Regional Medical Center since May. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,600 is more than we can find. While we wait, Antonio struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift.
