Antônia was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in August. The oncology team at São Paulo Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Antônia is 46, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to São Paulo Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Antônia.
Sure. The biggest one is chemotherapy and medication not covered, $1,400. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for asking.
