Angeles earthquake relief - the Sunrise district
The earthquake damaged 76 homes in the Sunrise district. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The earthquake hit the Sunrise district on 11 August. My home was one of 76 damaged, and 13 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $210
• Clean water and purification supplies: $135
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $80
• Roofing sheets and timber: $625
With deep gratitude,
Pedro

Best of luck, Pedro. I hope things turn around soon
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Pedro.
Sure. The biggest one is tools and labor for repairs, $210. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Good question.
good luck. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Thinking of Angeles.
You're not alone. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless.
So sorry you're going through this, Pedro. Hope this works out for you. My neighbor in Berlin donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Angeles.
Stay strong. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope November is when things finally get easier.
