Anaïs needs a braille note-taker that the health system won't fund; the cost is $6,900.

Anaïs lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the Paris Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $6,900.
Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Anaïs could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $6,900 goes:
• braille note-taker: $6,500
• Fitting and training sessions: $190
• Delivery and set-up: $60
• First-year servicing plan: $150
