An adapted tricycle for Walter: help Walter move freely
Walter needs an adapted tricycle that the health system won't fund; the cost is $600.
🇬🇧 Liverpool, England, United Kingdom1,246 views
Walter lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at Liverpool General Hospital has assessed him and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $600.
His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Walter could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $600 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $280
• Delivery and set-up: $135
• First-year servicing plan: $185
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Rooting for you. Shared it with a few friends. Thinking of Liverpool.
Stay strong, Carol. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Take care
Take care, Carol. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side.
Praying for you, Carol. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We're a small family in Comilla but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Comilla
So sorry you're going through this, Carol. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Toronto
