An adapted tricycle for Raúl: help Raúl move freely
Raúl needs an adapted tricycle that the health system won't fund; the cost is $3,550.

Raúl lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at San Diego General Hospital has assessed him and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,550.
His current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Raúl could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $3,550 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $270
• Delivery and set-up: $70
• adapted tricycle: $3,210
Thanks for being kind about this.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Raúl!
It's all in the list in the story. first-year servicing plan is the big one at $270, I'll post a receipt when it's paid.
Best of luck. Hope you get there. Sent it to 7 people at work. Greetings from Manila.
