An adapted tricycle for Owen: help Owen move freely
Help Owen get an adapted tricycle so He can go outside without waiting for someone to push.
Anywhere in the world1,221 views
Owen lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Manchester Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $500.
His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Owen could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $500 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $75
• First-year servicing plan: $140
• Fitting and training sessions: $285
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
